Echinacea tincture

Echinacea has been shown to improve immunity, blood sugar, anxiety, inflammation and skin health. It has a long history of traditional use. Echinacea was the primary medicine of Indigenous peoples of North America.

 

Perfect to keep in the cupboard in the Winter season to take at the first sign of a cough or cold.

 

Made with organically grown and dried aerial parts of the Echinacea purpurea plant. Macerated in 50% grain alcohol for 6 weeks, using the common 1:5 ratio.

 

Tincture can be added to water or fruit juice.

 

Serving:

Traditionally Taken: 1-4ml up to 3 times per day or as directed by a Herbal practitioner. 

 

Contraindications: 

Echinacea is essentially nontoxic when taken orally. People should not take Echinacea without consulting a herbal practitioner if they have an autoimmune illness, such as lupus, or other progressive diseases, such as tuberculosis or multiple sclerosis. Those who are allergic to flowers of the daisy family should take Echinacea with caution. There are no known contra-indications to the use of Echinacea during pregnancy or lactation but you should consult your doctor before taking tincture.
